Is this internship paid?
This internship is unpaid. However, the skills and knowledge you will gain through our training will position you for success in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry. You’ll also have the opportunity to apply for a full-time position with Matthews at the end of your internship.
What does a typical day during the internship look like?
Each day, you'll participate in hands-on courses designed to enhance your CRE knowledge. You’ll also have daily networking opportunities, working alongside top-producing agents who can offer guidance and insights. Additionally, you will receive training on commonly used CRE technologies and platforms, which will be valuable for building your resume.
Are interns required to be in the office Monday through Friday?
Yes, this internship requires in-person attendance, and we do not offer remote work. Being present in the office is crucial to fully benefiting from the program. We also host occasional celebrations, including happy hours and office events, to recognize your achievements during the internship.
What is the recommended professional attire?
It will always be appropriate for Matthews™ agents to wear business suits, skirts, or pants coordinated with light blue or white dress shirts or blouses, harmonized with appropriate ties, belts, dress shoes, and similar business-type attire expected in professional business environments. Clothing should be clean and neat, and personal grooming is essential. Hair, including facial hair, is expected to be kept clean and in business-appropriate and professional styles. Jewelry should be simple and reasonable.
